We were provided the following geotechnical special inspections: 1. Underpinning Installation/Monitoring: We monitored the installation of 2-inch diameter pipe piles for the western side of the existing residence and front entry. Attached field reports show the placement of the piles and their depths. All piles were driven to nominal refusal defined as less than 1 inch of penetration under 60 seconds of continuous driving with a 140-lb hammer. 2. Pin pile load test: We verified the refusal criteria with a 90-lb jackhammer applied to a randomly selected pile after installation of the piles with the 140-lb Rhino hammer. The pile installation was complete as of this date. The brackets have been installed according to the plan and the project is awaiting backfill and ready for final inspection by the City of Federal Way.
