A site visit was conducted on Friday, October 19 to visual ascertain the condition of the steam in question, located approximately 20 feet south of the subject property. A slow and minimally steady stream of water can be viewed trickling down the westward contour of the property towards SW Dash Point Road. This flow of water enters a culvert under the road and then into what the city classifies as a Major Stream on our Critical Areas Map. Major streams have a 100 foot buffer. The city does not have a record of any stream classified on the city's maps on the southern side of the parcel. Upon review of submitted materials and the city's critical areas map, it has been determined that the location of the p Y p. ro osed home addition is outside the 100 foot buffer of the major or stream and therefore will not be reviewed in p 1 conjunction a submitted building permit. Their address is 2902 SW Dash Point Road,Fed. Way, Wa. Parcel#416660610. Their property slopes down at a westerly direction,and has a stream south of it. The stream appears to be 20 to 25' below the property flowing in a northwesterly direction. My concern is that the construction project is too close to the stream's slope and won't be allowed.
