The detail 1/S3, which requires top two straps and two holdowns. As understood,The header was installed anly two feet over the wall. That may be utilized based one of the following methods: Option(A) 1-Install a 2x horizontal bloking in the remaining 2'feet length,between the studs. Nail the plywood to the blocking w/8d at 3" o.c. 2-A vertical strap to be installed at the wall left end as per 1/S3. Option(B) Other option is to install an HD5A holdown at the new header end. Use 5/8"x5.5" bolt, epoxied into the stem wall.
