MEETING MINUTES
Meeting called to order at 5:13pm.
Present: Reece Binder, Jesse Goldstone, Henry Ojeaburu, Milad Heydari, Olivia Chong, Jillian Ory, Gaurav Gowda,
Robert McFarlane, Gillian Soo
Absent: Brittany Rogers, Von Born, Hannah Kim (excused)
Staff: David Schmidt – Senior Services Coordinator, David Clemons – Administrative Assistant I
PUBLIC COMMENT
None.
COMMISSION BUSINESS
Ice Breaker
The commissioner played a hand-eye coordination game called “Ninja”.
March Minutes
Commissioner Jesse motioned to approve the February minutes and was seconded by Commissioner Gillian.
Teen Night at FWCC
Commissioners Gaurav, Jesse, Gillian, & Von were able to attend. The event was reported to be a success with
over 100 participants.
FWCC Library/Book Giveaway
The event will be held on May 31st from 4-6pm. Commissioners Olivia, Jillian, Milad, Henry, Gaurav, & Gillian plan
on attending. There is still a need for books, food, & volunteers.
Fundraising
Commissioner Gillian was able to raise $150. No other fundraising activity was reported.
NEW BUSINESS
The commissioners each took a turn detailing what their summer plans would be. They also indicated if they
would be returning as a commissioner next school year and if not, where they intended to be; school,
employment, etc.
NEXT MEETING/AGENDA ITEMS
The next meeting is scheduled for September 20, 2017 from 5:00-6:30pm.
ADJOURNMENT
Commissioner Jesse ended the meeting at 6:00pm.
