Subject: As-Built Connection of Unistrut framing to Existing
Glulam Beam
As requested, this memo serves as report of the as-built connection of the
back to back unistrut that supports a duct to the existing glulam beam for
the project reference above. The limited scope of this memo was to evaluate
the as-built connection only. The capacity of the glulam beam was
previously evaluated and deemed adequate in the original design packet.
After reviewing the as-built connection, we have concluded that the installed
(2) 3/8" diameter x 4" lag screws at each clip are adequate to support the
secondary unistrut framing that supports the duct.
For other information associated with the project above, see the original
structural calculation report.
