Federal Way, WA ' 5 r ,, ssRA1.V 1°A1AL 0.0 02/27/2017 To whom it may concern, In response to the building inspector's 2/21/17 correction notice we offer the following; 1) New or existing maximum 3/4” diameter hole(s) bored near or at mid span of existing roof joists is permissible with the installation of Simpson HSS2-SDS1.5 stud shoe. 2) Replacement 4x8 or 2-2x8 headers at the 8' window openings in the repaired non-bearing exterior walls is permissible. 3) Special inspection of newly installed sill anchor bolts into the existing concrete foundation is not necessary. IBC Section 1704 exception #1, exempts special inspections for construction that is of a minor nature. Installation of the anchor bolts in this particular case is, in our opinion, minor in nature.
