The contractor for the Project was DMI Drilling,partnered with BullsEye Trucking&Excavating. Temporary erosion control was installed by The Bag Lady,Inc. Permanent erosion control and Site restoration was accomplished by your landscaper. These contractors were contracted directly to you. Construction began with Site preparation by BullsEye on November 8,2016. Installation of the soldier pile wall by DMI Drilling began on November 16,2016.Aspect provided full-time special inspections during soldier pile drilling and installation,which ended on November 28,2016, followed by intermittent visits during lagging,backfill, and Site restoration.All construction activities(not including permanent erosion control installation)were concluded by December 20, 2016.Permanent erosion control was fully installed by May 18,2017. The geotechnical special inspection services were completed in general accordance with our authorized agreement with you, dated October 20,2016, and the City of Federal Way(City)permit No. 16-103326-00-SF,which was issued on October 21,2016. Daily field reports were prepared after each site visit and were delivered to you and the City. Copies of all our field reports are included with this summary report. Through our full-time geotechnical special inspections,which occurred during the preliminary construction period of drilling and installing the soldier piles,we confirmed the following: • The soil conditions were consistent with our design assumptions; • All materials(epoxy-coated steel piles,pressure-treated timber lagging,and gravel backfill) conformed,or were equivalent,to the material requirements in the referenced geotechnical report,plans,and specifications(Aspect,2016a and 2016b); and • The soldier piles(drilled shaft,steel pile, and lean mix concrete)and timber lagging were installed in accordance with the referenced geotechnical report,plans,and specifications.
