The intent of this letter is to provide documentation and a summary of our review, including conclusions based on visual observation and recommendations regarding repairs if necessary to restore the north wall. The purpose of our site visit was to examine the existing conditions of the north wood exterior wall framing and to provide a structural repair solution if needed. The existing building structure consists of a Berkley type roof framing system with exterior wood perimeter walls. The existing exterior north wall construction consists of plywood sheathing, 2x6 wood studs, &wood header beams at door openings. The wall is supported below on the existing concrete foundation footing. The exterior north wall in question supports 3ft. of tributary roof framing. Photo shows partial north wood wall 171 woof framing. Damage occurs at 1 numerous wall studs. Damage to studs consists of prior notches and bored holes at various locations along the height of the studs. Ten stud framing locations of the exposed wall framing were identified as needing to be repaired. The studs in question were marked while on site and are to be repaired as recommended. 2200 6TH AVENUE, #601 WWW.PSM-ENGINEERS.COM PHONE 206-622-4580 SEATTLE WASHINGTON 98121 USA FAX 206-622-0422 J Ad • Recommended Repairs: Ten stud framing locations (numbered and identified while on site) are to be repaired.
