(AESI) has completed this letter to summarize our observations during the installation of the soldier piles for the construction of a new replacement retaining wall at the above-mentioned address. This letter is intended to confirm that earthwork observation has been completed in accordance with the design recommendations contained in the geotechnical report and comply with the approved construction plan set. The installation of the soldier piles took place in September 2007. During this time, AESI representatives were on-site part-time. Our observations and-construction monitoring services generally consisted of the following: • Observation of the drilling and installation of soldier piles. • Erosion control. • Drainage installation. Detailed information regarding geotechnical field observations and soils conditions encountered may be found in the AESI field reports for the project. Copies of these reports were distributed via mail during the above-mentioned activities. Site preparation and grading, and pile installation work was conducted in general accordance with AESI's geotechnical recommendations and the approved plans.
