Requested Information: The sketch raises two issues:
1.) The location of the NW column will push the blocking shown into
the existing roof hatch opening. We suggest a new 30"x 30"
hatch be provided and located at the center of the deck.
2.) The new sheathing nail pattern called out(note 1)does not align
with existing 2x6 rafters @ 16"OC.
See also attached photos. Request is of high importance as work is
currently underway at this location.

Decon Room. This wall is slated for a shotcrete shearwall. These
electrical systems are not shown to be removed. Please advise.

Subject: SKFR FS 63—Details 1/S50.01 and 6/S50.01
Based upon discussions with the contractor,MJ Takisaki,Inc,there have been requests for clarifications
associated with Details 1/S50.01 and 6/S50.01 of the structural drawings. The following is a summary of
revisions and additional information associated with the request.
1. The section on Detail 1/S50.01 notes hooked rebar while the table notes threaded rod. At the
filled CMU walls,hooked rebar or threaded rod can be used. At the hollow CMU,threaded rod
per the table shall be used. At the filled CMU,the 22.5-degree hole angle per Detail 6/S50.01 is
not required per Note 2 of the detail. Where threaded rods are installed,a flat plate washer and
nut may be installed in lieu of a hook. The threaded rod shall engage the wall reinforcing by
extending beyond it.
2. Detail 1/S50.01 notes a maximum spacing of 1'-6"each way. Install the hooked rebar or
threaded rods at a lesser spacing of 12"as required to engage the wall reinforcing which is
spaced at 12"oc each way.
