Dear Mr. Matiatos:
We understand that the Federal Way Inspector would like documentation dealing with the
modification to the plenum behind the louver. Please find the following clarification on said
modification:
The contractor shall separate the airstreams for existing exhaust louvers in which exhaust air and
building relief connect to the same louver. Each airstream shall be constructed to have a plenum box
connection to the louver. Each air stream shall have a motorized damper. The building relief air path
shall be equipped with a barometric damper in addition to the motorized damper. The contractor shall
modify the as built condition as necessary to split the airstreams as described above.
