Design(CPTED) standards for personal safety.

The following are our responses to the comments pertaining to structural items included in the City of Federal Way /1/////0/
Correction Notice compiled by Bill Zeitler, dated June 26, 2014. For your convenience,the responses below have
been numbered to correspond to the correction number given in the notice referenced above:
9. Sheets S2.10.0 and S2.10.1 have been updated to clearly show all walls to be constructed with 2x6 studs.
13. Detail 4/S6.04 has been revised to remove the split at the center wall. Truss bracing and shear transfer
connections are the responsibility of the truss manufacturer per General Structural Note 32.
14. Engineered truss shop drawings and calculations are currently being generated and will be submitted by
the owner at a later date.
15. On sheets S2.10.1 and S2.10.2, per the contractor and the architect, Unit 5.0 will be soffited for venting. A
note has been added to the structural drawings to state that soffits are to be built per the architectural drawings. ilK:171///1/2/7/
16. Clarifications on hardware clips have been added to the detail sheets on S6.02 through S6.05.A note has
been added to the plans that reference General Structure Note 36 to specify the manufacturer of clips and
wood connectors.
17. Beam 6 on engineering page WG-5 has been updated and no longer occurs.The beam shown in the
structural drawings is correct.
19. All details not applicable to Kitts Comer Building A have been voided.
The changes in the structural drawings listed above have been incorporated into all other building drawings sets in
order to streamline the review process.We trust that these responses adequately address the issues identified in
the correction notice. We have enclosed supplemental calculations and revised drawings for review and approval.
