MEETING MINUTES
Commissioner Henry called the meeting to order at 5:09pm.
Present: Reece Binder, Von Born, Gillan Soo, Henry Ojeaburu, Brittany Rogers, Gaurav Gowda, Justin Filfred,

COMMISSION BUSINESS
Ice Breaker
All people in attendance introduced themselves and their reason for being on the commission.
Teen Night
Commissioner Gillian reminded the other commissioners about the upcoming event. Commissioners Gaurav,
Gillian, and Von said they planned on attending.
FW Cares for Kids
Commissioner Henry explained the event and the commission’s previous involvement and suggested participation
again this year. The commissioners will discuss more at the next meeting. The dates of the ev ent include set up on
December 15th with the actual event being hold on December 16th.
Work Plan
Commissioners Henry and Gillian discussed the previous year’s work plan and the commissioners collectively
discussed some ideas for the current school year. Commissioner Justin presented the idea of assisting with a 5k
color run in 2018. Commissioner Gillian suggested holding a science fair and commissioner Gaurav stated Sub Zero
had participated in previous similar events to show how they make icecream with the use of liquid nitrogen. The
commissioners agreed to bring several ideas for the work plan to the next meeting.
Fundraising
Commissioner Brittany suggested holding a walk-a-thon event. She will work on a proposal to present in
December’s commission meeting.
