Pipe Pile Installation: AESI arrived on site at 9am to observe McDowell NW install 2 pipe piles. Piles installed were galvanized,schedule 80 pipe,2"in diameter. Piles were installed by McDowell's Rhino Jackhammer(140 lbs). Total pile depths ranged from 7'to 12'. Refusal was defined as less than 1"of penetration in 60 seconds,based upon the criteria provided by McDowell. Pipe pile installation schedule can be found in the table below. Based on our observations,the piles were installed in general accordance with the project plans and specifications,and were consistent with typical construction practices and techniques.Piles are suitable for support of 6 kip loads per AESI geotechnical report dated 1/6/2017.No construction plans were available,topographic survey provided by Sadler-Barnard&Assoc.INC, dated 11/30/2016.
