Mr. Cowan,
Pacific Northwest Engineering Inc. (PNE), as requested, has reviewed the site photos and
updated architectural plans which indicate a 8' wide window on the side wall in the
master suite. It is our understanding that a 4x8 DF#2 header was installed to support roof
loads. We have reviewed this condition and found that a 3%2" x 9" GLB is required for
support of roof framing. (2) 2x6 cripple studs are required under the support of this GLB
nearest the front of the home. Please remove and replace as required. Partial floor plan,
framing plan and calculations have been attached.
