SITE PLAN
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: THE EXISTING TWO-STORY SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENCE WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 1966. IT IS
COMPRISED OF LIGHT FRAME CONSTRUCTION OVER A CRAWLSPACE. THE FIRST FLOOR IS
COMPRISED OF 2X4 CAR DECKING SUPPORTED BY 4X8 BEAMS. FOUNDATION IS 6 INCH AND 8
INCH THICK CONCRETE STEM WALLS WITH A SILL PLATE AT THE TOP. THE DECKING IS
CONNECTED DIRECTLY TO THE SILL PLATE; I.E., THERE IS NO RIM JOIST. THE SILL PLATES DO NOT
APPEAR TO BE ANCHORED TO THE FOUNDATION WALLS. THE OWNERS WOULD LIKE TO UPGRADE
THE CONNECTION OF THE WOOD FRAMING TO THE PERIMETER CONCRETE FOUNDATION WALLS.
PROJECT SCOPE: ADD STEEL ANGLES OR BENT STEEL PLATES TO THE PERIMETER FOUNDATION WALL THAT
POSITIVELY CONNECTS THE EXISTING DIAPHRAGM AND FRAMING TO THE FOUNDATION WALLS.

2. ALL CONSTRUCTION, TESTING AND INSPECTING SHALL CONFORM TO THE BUILDING CODE REFERENCED BELOW.

9. DURING THE CONSTRUCTION PERIOD, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE SAFETY OF PERSONNEL
