Dear Mike,
I was asked by you to check on an interior wall in your new church facility, name and location as noted, and
to evaluate its use structurally. We met together on Friday, April 26'.
The building is a two story structure. We went inside towards the south portion of the 1St floor where you
had a ladder in place adjacent to the interior wall in question approximately midway of its length. I climbed
up the ladder and with a flashlight I observed a built up steel girder beam in the ceiling space above the top
of the wall. Steel joists are framing perpendicular onto it. The steel beam appears to be in very good
condition with minimal, if any, penetrations. I also checked at both ends of the beam.
You also had a set of plans and I noted the framing for the 2nd floor is as I observed with steel beams and
joists.
The wall in question is only an infill partition wall and is not needed to support any structural framework.
Therefore, it may be removed as so desired.
