Dear Milan:
I have been reassigned to your project and after looking at Steve's notes as well as checking
the sign code; it does look as if this sign is not allowed.
Any church in the residential zone is governed by Federal Way Revised Code (FWRC) Table 2
which states, 'One sign for each street frontage providing direct vehicle access".
According to this code, only 1 sign would be allowed and only on SW 344th Street. If you feel I
have interpreted this incorrectly, you may always request an interpretation from the Director of
Community Development, Greg Fewins at re .fewins@cityoffederalway.com
Please let me know if you plan to pursue a director's interpretation. I will keep this application
open until the end of July at which time it will then be denied.
