This letter presents the results of our geologic hazard assessment for the proposed
shed to be located landward of the shoreline cabana at 29635 — 20th Place SW in the
Lakota/Adelaide area of Federal Way, Washington. The location of the proposed site
configuration is included on Figure 1.
Our understanding of the project is based on our discussions with you, our September
21, 2011 and May 24, 2012 site visits, and our experience in the area. We completed a
Geologic Hazard Assessment for the shoreline cabana dated October 4, 2011. We
understand the City of Federal Way is requiring an assessment to address impactsof the
proposed 12 foot by 13 foot shed to replace an existing shed on the site. The proposed shed
replacement will be located into the toe of the slope and landward of the shoreline cabana.
The recommendations in our previously prepared Geologic Hazard Assessment
remain applicable to the site, given the proposed improvements. As stated in the previous
assessment; no erosion, landslide, seismic, or steep slope hazard existing on the site. In our
opinion, the proposed shed will not create any new adverse affects to the site or adjacent
areas.
