It is our understanding that a 1-3/4 x 51-7/8 LVL over the kitchen is installed in lieu of
the specified 3 1/2 x 11-7/8 GLB. A 1-3/4 x 11-7/8 LSL is to be sistered to the LVL with
(3) 10d at 16" oc. The top of the LSL beam may be notch as required to fit around the
installed plumbing.
