The property owner (DeAlandria Properties Inc) has granted approval for the installation of a
monument sign at the West entrance to the property (immediately south of Olive Garden). Our
understanding is that the sign will be installed in accordance with the provided drawings and that
Children's South Clinic will be responsible for the installation in accordance with all applicable

1.0 QUALIFICATIONS
1.1 Sign Contractor:A signage and graphics specialist sub -con
tractor able to prepare shop drawings and specific samples, and
manufacture, fabricate assemble and install the work shown in these
drawings, and who is able to prove demonstrated capability with a
complete project record satisfactory to the owner
1.2 Responsibility: The fabricator shall assume responsibility for
the quality of materials and workmanship required for the execu
tion of the work herein. The fabricator shall guarantee all material
and workmanship for a period of (1) year following the final accep
tance of work, and if during this period defects or faulty materials are
found, the fabricator shall proceed immediately upon notification by
the owners representative, at his own expense, to remedy the condi-
tion together with any damage to surrounding finishes or furnishings
which occur as a result of those defects.
1.3 Submittals: (a) The fabricator shall submit shop drawings and
engineering design drawings with stamped supporting structural
calculation as required by code (if required). (b) The fabricator shall
submit full size patterns of letter -forms to be cut out for approval
by the owners representative. Do not use this document as original
art for pattern production or color matching. (c) The fabricator shall
submit samples for all painted and direct printed surfaces to check
color and reflectance. Samples shall be submitted on the material to
which it will be applied in actual production. (d) The fabricator shall
submit shop drawings which indicate dimensions, identify specific
products, materials and processes which are included in the work.
Provide special notations of dimensions that have been established
by field measurement.
1.4 Product Data: The fabricatorshall provide manufactures speci-
fications including paint specifications, color and finish,
1.5 Schedule: The successful bidder shall submit the following: A
complete schedule of shop drawings, sample submittal dates and a
complete production schedule assuming 111 week shall be dedicated
to the review of shop drawings and samples.
1.6 Coordination: The fabricator shall furnish information and co
ordinate with related trades to assure satisfactory completion of the
work. In all cases where installation of mounting hardware involves
other trades, coordination shall be through the general contractor.
2.0 PRODUCTS / MATERIALS
2.1 Materials: Alt materials shall conform to those specified. Where
requirements are not specified, the materials shall be suitable for
the intended usage of the sign. Materials listed below shall conform
to respective specifications and other requirements as designated
below.
1 ASTSIGNS

2.2 Acrylic: Acrylic manufactured by Acrylite or approved equal.
2.3 Metals: Aluminum shall be suitable for ornamental, architec-
tural work. Surface finish shall be smooth, free of extrusion marks
or imperfections. Alloy shall be selected to meet the structural
requirements of the specific application.
2.6 Vinyl Die Cut Graphics: All applied vinyl die cut graphics to be
Scotchlite and Scotchcal vinyl sheeting or approved equal. Other
brands of vinyl include-Sparcal, Avery, Arolon.
2.9 Digital Printed Graphics: Digitally printed graphics to be print -
ed on Durst Rho 500, 6 color and White over/under print, (or equal)
printer and with quality of 600 dpi minimum. Inks shall be colorfast,
permanent and have compatible adhesion to specified substrates.
2.11 Fasteners: All threaded fasteners shall be non -corrosive and
concealed unless shown as exposed on drawings. Wall anchor fas
teners to be secured with permanent grade mastic adhesive.
2.12 Coatings: PPG, Dupont or Matthews acrylic polyurethane is
recommended on all acrylic and metallic surfaces. Follow manufae
tures recommendations for surface preparation and application.
2.13 Typeface: The project typeface to be used is specified in the
design intent package and should not be replaced.
3.0 FABRICATION AND MANUFACTURE
3.1 Verification: The fabricator shall verify and be responsible for
all sign text, dimensions and conditions shown by these drawings.
Written dimensions shall take precedence over scaled dimensions
or conditions.
3.2 Notification: The designer shall be notified of any discrepan
cies in the drawings, field dimensions, sign text or conditions and/or
changes required in construction details. Proceeding with work with -
out receiving clarification, as well as adjustments to designs made
prior to written approval of the designer or owners representative,
shall be at Bidders sole expense,
3.3 Workmanship: The fabricator shall verify all measurements and
shall take all field measurements necessary before both shop draw-
ing preparation and fabrication. The fabricator shall provide all me
terials and parts necessary to complete each item, even though such
work is not definitely shown or specified. The fabricator shall provide
all bolts, anchors, supports, braces connections, and any other items
necessary for the completion of the work. The fabricator shall form
signs to shape and size with sharp lines, angles and true curves. Drill
holes for bolt and screw fasteners shall have clean, true lines and
surfaces. All exposed surfaces shall have a smooth finish, free of

blemishes. Thickness of metal and details of assembly and supports
shall give ample strength and stiffness. Where a tight fit is required,
make joints to a closed fit. Accurately set work to established lines
and elevations and securely fasten in place. Execute and finish work
in accordance with approved drawings, cuts, details and samples.
Visible screw heads and fasteners shall occur only at locations indi
cated in the drawings and approved submittals. Ensure that all visible
welded edges, corners, and tangent points are straight, consistent
and ground smooth. Ensure that all edges and corners of finished
letter -forms and graphics are true and clean.
3.4 Design Intent:Specification are intended to illustrate design
intent and feasibility only. Actual specifications may vary depending
on engineers specifications and individual fabricator practices. How -
ever, any specification changes will require a written request to the
designer in either narrative or drawing form. The proposed specifica -
tion change will require designer approval prior to fabrication,
4.0 GRAPHIC APPLICATION
4.1 Artwork: The fabricator shall furnish all typography and neces-
sary artwork for reproduction. The fabricator shall also submit proofs
of actual copy layouts to the designer for approval prior to fabrication.
4.2 Color: Color as specified on drawings. The colors on the drawing
are representational only. All colors shall be color matched to specific
PMS swatch, paint swatch, or a control sample.
4.3 Letter -forms: Rounded positive or negative corners; nicked,
cut or ragged edges will not be accepted. All corners and edges are
to be eased as required.
5.0 EXECUTION
5.1 Inspection: The fabricator shall inspect conditions of locations
and surfaces on which signs will be installed. The fabricator shall not
proceed with installation until defects or errors which would result in
a poor installation have been corrected.
5.2 Walk -Through: The fabricator shall arrange a meeting with the
owners representative at the site for the final location and alignment
of sign elements.
5.3 Installation: Install signs at locations as specified by owner, at
height indicated and by method shown. All signs to be installed to
true vertical and horizontal.
5.4 Protection: The fabricator shall protect the work and adjacent
work and materials from damage during progress of work until com -
pletion. Wrap finished work with paper, polyethylene film, or stripable
weatherproof tape for shipment, storage and protection from damage
during installation.
5.5 Adjust and Clean:The fabricator shall repair any damage in
curred during installation to the satisfaction of the owner or owners
representative. Signs which can not be repaired to new condition
must be replaced. All sign surfaces must be clean, free of smudging
and fingerprinting. Adjust all hardware and electrical equipment to
assure safe and proper operation and installation. Remove all sign
waste and debris from site. The signage contractor shall arrange
with the property owner for the use of waste receptacles.
6.0 PRICING
6.1 Submittals: Included in the bid pricing will be the following
submittal items:

6.1 Bid breakdown: The bid shall reflect the unit cost of each sign,
unit cost of each sign including installation, and the total cost for the
work. Tax should not be included,
6.2 Unit Price Guarantee: The fabricator shall provide a unit price
guarantee to the owner for a period of one year after the completion
of the installation. The unit price guarantee should reflect the unit
cost of each sign and unit cost of each sign including installation,
