RE: Lake Easter Estates, 1221 S. 308t`' street — footings.
To whom it may concern:
I understand, that the General Contractor, Earth Tech had poured the footings on this deck
replacement project prior to your job -site inspection.
He was given the following options:
"The city inspector called back and conveyed to us":
1. rent an x-ray machine;
2. dig up and remove (off site) the existing footings;
3. get a sign off from the engineer.
It is my professional opinion, that the loads generated by a single story deck are small.
We therefore chose to get feedback from Dick Sorensen, G.C. and discussed the
process by which he installed the concrete footings.
After a satisfactory explanation, I feel confident to accept the procedure used to install the
footings.
