Proposed construction of handicap accessible Ramp.
Ramp Details:
• Proposed ramp is 36' L by 4' Wide
• Ramp is anchored using 4 X 4 posts in concrete that are about 2' deep in ground
• Ramp is supported with 2 X 6 joists that are reinforced with hangers at beams.Joist spacing is
24" on center
• The attachment of 2 X 6 on posts uses lag screws
• Ramp is constructed using treated lumber
• The floor of the ramp is 1 X 4 decking
• Ramp will have handrails on both sides at about 33" high from the ramp floor
• Ramp's walls are made of treated wood spindles that are 4" inches apart
• The slope of the ramp is at 1:12 ratio
• The ramp goes up to the existing deck
• The 3'X 4' landing of the ramp sits on a pre-existing concreted breezeway that runs parallel to
the parameter fence on the side of the house that you enter through the gate from the
driveway
Ramp runs along the side of the house parallel to the fence to go to existing deck;see picture
