Our response for structural design items are itemized below. 1. Calculations are provided for beams with longer spans and non-uniform loads. Framing members with shorter spans and uniform loads are sized using span tables and appropriate for the design loads. No changes required. 2. The manufactured panels are an off-the-shelf item and are delivered to the site with installation instructions and details. The foundation and anchorage requirements are provided in detail 3/S2.1 since this portion of construction is completed prior to delivery of the panels. Note that Lennar Northwest has directed the use of Mitek Hardy Frames to replace Weyerhaeuser Shear Braces and drawing Sheet S1.0 has been revised to reflect this. No other changes required. 4. Posts are noted to be (2) 2x studs unless noted otherwise in the General Structural Notes, Bearing Wall Framing. Individual posts with caps are noted on the drawings where necessary. No changes required. 6. Detail 2/S2.1 is the correct detail for the front of garage side elevation. No changes required. 9. Post caps for isolated members are noted on the plans. No changes required. 10. SEGA Engineers recommends IUS type hangers which are specified in the structural details. Insulation for slabs on grade is not structural in nature and is not shown in structural details. Insulation requirements should be shown in other details as appropriate. 13.
