FIELD NOTES
A GeoResources representative arrived on site at the request of Mr. Jeff S. with JK Monarch to

observe the excavation for the foundation elements at the site.
We observed 2 — 4 inch quarry spalls at the location shown on page 2. The subgrade soils
appeared to be tan/light brown silty SAND with gravel. The quarry spalls appeared compacted.
We tested the quarry spalls at random locations with a Yz-inch steel T -probe and observed less
Bearing
than 2 inches of penetration, indicating a dense condition.
Capacity
Based on our observations it is our opinion that the subgrade observed today is suitable to
support 1,500 psf in bearing in its current condition. Should the subgrade become saturated or
disturbed prior to the pour the disturbed soil should be removed and replaced per the project
plans. A picture of the site during our visit is included on page 2.
