February 8th was the snowiest single February day since 1962 and 7th most ever recorded. In total, during February we officially received 10.6 inches of snow at Sea Tac airport making it the 5th snowiest February since 1894 and the most since 1910. Summary Still working to total costs. Incurred 1,594 labor hours, excluding management. Incurred approximately 756 truck hours. Used approximately 670 tons of salt. Used approximately 560 tons of sand. Summary Budgeted Salt: $10,000 Sand: $3,060 Plow Blades, Chains and Shafts: $2,377 Utilized Salt used at current prices: $152,760 Sand used at current prices: $8,120 Plow Blades and Chains: $14,020 Emergency Purchases During the event two emergency purchases were made, both related to salt.
