Demand for multi-family housing in increasing throughout King County
Multi-family housing slowed in Federal Way due to elevated school impact fees
The only multi-family projects moving forward are senior housing projects or those that offset school impact fees with outside assistance
If school impact fees are decreased, more multi-family housing would result, but the mix of subsidized and market-rate housing would improve
What Does This Mean?

An in-depth zoning analysis may find ways to accommodate multi-family housing projects is more desirable areas
For example, building heights may be increased in certain zones
