Proposed Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Federal Way Police Support Services Association (PSSA)

Background
The City is represented at the bargaining table by a bargaining team consisting of police managers, HR manager, legal, and finance.
The union is represented by their chosen representatives and their attorney.
Last agreement expired December 31, 2018.
This proposed agreement would cover the period of January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019.
Key Points of Bargaining Agreement
Wages – 2% for 2019 (same as applied to City staff)
Include PSSA in the upcoming city-wide salary survey
Authorize flex shifts for Animal Service employees with supervisor approval
Housekeeping cleanups including language to address the Janus decision.
Mayor’s Recommendation
Approve the 2019 Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Federal Way Police Support Services Association and authorize the Mayor to execute the agreement.
