Theater Rental Agreements
The Tacoma City Ballet (“Ballet”) entered into rental agreements with the City for two events during its 2017-18 season.
The Ballet now disputes the amount it owes the City as a result of those agreements and offered to pay only a small portion of their liabilities.
After prolonged negotiations that have not yielded an acceptable resolution to this dispute, the City’s recourse is to file a legal action to enforce the agreements and collect the money
owed.
Mayor’s Recommendation
Approve to file the proposed civil action.
