As I understand it a car accidentally backed into the bay window that projects off the east side of the building, adjacent to the hot tub. Observations: It appears that the vehicle impact severely damaged all three walls of the bay, knocking them off or at least partially off the foundations. When I visited, you crew had installed temporary shoring under the existing roof framing (trusses) and it appeared that the roof was close to in its original alignment. The wall framing, windows and most of the finishes of these walls were damaged beyond repair. The existing sill plates were knocked off the foundations and it appears that at least one of the anchor bolts was bent. There was no sign of damage to the concrete stem walls or floor slab. There appeared to be one small crack in the ceiling (at the ridge of the bay), but it was so thin and short that there is no evidence of damage to the trusses. Condusions and Recommendations: It appears that the structural damage was limited to the walls of the bay, with no damage to the roof structure or foundations. I would recommend re-building the damaged walls as show on the attached sketches. If you uncover any damage beyond .._ these walls when you remove finishes, let me know and I can adjust/expand my recommendations.
