We are asking customers seeking service electronically, by email, electronic submittal or phone. Staff is available during normal business hours, 8am to 5pm

Mayoral actions to date
Issued a Proclamation of Emergency aimed at freezing late fees put on renters by landlords. This will be in effect for the duration of the moratorium on residential evictions ordered
by Governor Inslee on March 18, 2020.

$15,000 of food bank funding to
Multi-Service Center (MSC)
MSC has seen a significant increase in families visiting the food bank

Authorized use of City of Federal Way Parks personnel to deliver food to the food bank as well as play a role in the distribution of food to those in the community

Allocated $13,500 for to CCS to expand Reach Out shelter through April

Understanding the magnitude of the economics and the significant impact upon its residents and businesses, here is our seven-point strategy that he will lead to address a community continuity
plan including business/economic recovery and resilience strategy.

1. Public Outreach: Working with our community partners, we will ensure constant and consistent communication to businesses, property owners, (commercial and residential) non-profits
and regional stakeholders

2. Technical Assistance in Support of Business: With support from the Greater Federal Way Chamber of Commerce and the Small Business Development Center at Highline College we will coordinate
and provide insight to local businesses on government business assistance programs.

3. Clearinghouse on Opportunities:
A variety of research is being performed for use to understand, the dynamics of the city’s and region’s marketplaces by sector and unemployment rates. For example, how to help recover
business sectors

4. Legislative and Regulatory Affairs: Support the need of policymakers in identifying legislative and regulatory affairs opportunities to enhance community and economic resilience.

5. Cooperation:
Engage both intra agency relationships within the city and inter agency relationships with city, regional state and national agencies.

6. Community Continuity Taskforce: Formulation of a taskforce comprised of community stakeholders and organizations to identify opportunities to ensure services to at risk populations
and assistance to the entities serving them along with ensuring overall community mental health during and after the recovery.

7.Business Resiliency Taskforce: Formulation of a taskforce in concert with the Greater Federal Way Chamber of Commerce comprised of businesses and commercial property owners from different
