Wright ♦ Contracted by Southern California Edison Electric to appraise the value of landscape trees on 15 parcels that were burned in the Way Fire (2016). ♦ Oregon Initiative - Retained to serve as the interim Manager of PacifiCorp's vegetation management program in Oregon (Sept. 2013-Dec. 31, 2016), a $23 million/year program. Goal was to improve production and reduce costs of program while digging out of a 2,000 mile deficit. The cost per mile was reduced by 33% and the cost per tree pruned by 29%, along with improving the attitude and efficiency of the workforce, the tree removal rate, and overall management of the program. The Oregon Initiative mileage goals were successfully completed. The 2,000 mile deficit was made up and exceeded by 185 miles by the target date. ♦ Retained by PacifiCorp to conduct an audit of their entire Oregon transmission system (2015-16). ♦ Retained by the Thurston Regional Planning Commission to conduct a street tree inventory and prepare a comprehensive street tree plan for each of 3 cities. ♦ Retained by the Bonneville Power Administration to layout danger tree work on 58 miles of their 115 kV transmission system in Oregon (2014). ♦ Retained to provide forestry and vegetation management planning, layout and permitting for the new 105 mile long Portland General Electric Cascade Crossing 500 kV transmission line (2012). ♦ Retained to provide forestry and rights-of-way design and permitting assistance on the Idaho Power Company's new Boardman to Hemmingway 500 kV project (2014-ongoing). ♦ Contracted to investigate the cause of the 49,000 acre School Fire (2005) in Eastern Washington and begin to conduct appraisals of tree damage.
