RES 20-791 - Authorizing LL with WSDOT (SW 320 St) RESOLUTION NO. 20-791 A RESOLUTION of the City of Federal Way, Washington, authorizing execution of a Local Agency Agreement with the Washington State Department of Transportation regarding improvements to SW 320th Street — 11th Ave SW to 3rd Place SW Preservation Project in the City of Federal Way, Washington. WHEREAS, the City of Federal Way applied for federal funds from the Puget Sound Regional Council for the purpose of the construction of the SW 320th Street — 11th Ave SW to 3rd Place SW Preservation Project within the City; and WHEREAS, Puget Sound Regional Council agreed to grant the City of Federal Way federal funds in the total amount of Five Hundred Eighteen Thousand twenty and no/100 Dollars ($518,020.00) for the construction of the SW 320th Street — 11th Ave SW to 3rd Place SW Preservation Project provided that the City Council authorizes the Mayor to enter into the required Local Agency Agreement. NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY, RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Receipt c&1 edema I'Llads. The Mayor or his designee is hereby authorized to accept the federal funds in the amount of Five Hundred Eighteen Thousand Twenty and no/100 Dollars ($518,020.00) for the construction of the SW 320th Street — 11th Ave SW to 3rd Place SW Preservation Project. Section 2. Execution of the Local Z\gell�yDred n „nts. The Mayor or his designee is hereby authorized to execute the Local Agency Agreement regarding the SW 320th Street— 11th Ave SW to Resolution No. 20-791 Page I of 3 3rd Place SW Preservation Project in the City of Federal Way, Washington and any other required documents. Section 3. Nlatchigg— Lijds. Pursuant to the terms of the Local Agency Agreement, the City commits matching funds of up to Four Hundred Ten Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($410,000.00) for the construction of the SW 320th Street — l lth Ave SW to 3rd Place SW Preservation Project. Sec lioTi 4. Seyerlilhility. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this resolution should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause, or phrase of this resolution. Sectioii5 C-oi-rectioris. The City Clerk is authorized to make necessary corrections to this resolution including, but not limited to, the correction of scrivener/clerical errors, references, resolution numbering, section/subsection numbers and any references thereto. Section 6. R.Ailjgfiop. Any act consistent with the authority and prior to the effective date of this resolution is hereby ratified and affirmed. Section 7. Effective-Date.
