Background
Formation of bargaining unit in 2020.
The first proposed agreement would cover the period
of January 7, 2020 to December 31, 2021.
Teamster members have ratified the terms of this
agreement subject to Council approval.

1% wage increase effective 1/7/2020
2% wage increase effective 7/1/2020
1% wage increase effective 1/1/2021
2% wage increase effective 7/1/2021
Total Increase for 2020: approximately $40K

Maximum of 1% of employee’s base rate of pay, effective
upon ratification.
Maximum of 2% of employees base rate of pay, effective

Total Cost of Contract (FY2020-2021): $1,405,424

Additional terms
City will facilitate monthly premium payments from
members to the Teamster Retirement fund.
City is not responsible for the administration of this
benefit.
20 hours executive leave per year
Maximum banked 40 hours
Status Quo for other topics consistent with other City
employees and bargaining units.

Mayor’s Recommendation
Approve the 2020-2021 Collective Bargaining Agreement
with Teamsters Local Union No. 117.
