Dear Mr. Everett:
The Department of Community Development is in receipt of your April 10, 2020, letter requesting a waiver
of the preapplication conference for a short plat application located at the above-referenced address. A
preapplication conference is required for the proposal as it is not exempt from environmental review
pursuant to the State Environmental Policy Act per Federal Way Revised Code (FWRC) 19.40.030(2)(a). The site has
previously undergone a preapplication conference for a similar development proposal (file 17-101741-AD).
The request for a waiver of the required preapplication conference is hereby approved in accordance with
FWRC 19.40.030(2). Please be advised that this waiver of the preapplication review may increase the risk of
the application being incomplete, or that the processing time will be increased.
