SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
Remote Meeting
September 15, 2020 — 4:30 p.m.
1. CALL MEETING TO ORDER
Council President Honda called the meeting held remotely to order at 4:35 p.m.
City officials in attendance: Mayor Jim Ferrell, Council President Susan Honda, Councilmember Lydia
Assefa-Dawson, Councilmember Greg Baruso, Councilmember Hoang Tran, Councilmember Martin
Moore, and Councilmember Linda Kochmar.
City staff in attendance: City Attorney Ryan Call and City Clerk Stephanie Courtney.
2. COMMISSION INTERVIEWS
The City Council interviewed applicants via Zoom for openings on the Youth, Diversity, and Parks
& Recreation Commissions.
3. EXECUTIVE SESSION
Evaluate Qualifications of an Applicant for Public Employment pursuant to RCW
42.30.110(1)(g)
At 5:38 p.m. Council President Honda announced the Council would adjourn to Executive Session.
City Attorney Call noted the Executive Session was for the purpose of Evaluating Qualifications of an
Candidate for Appointment to an Elective Office pursuant to RCW 42.30.110(1)(h); for approximately
thirty (30) minutes.
4. ADJOURNMENT
There being nothing further on the agenda; the special meeting was adjourned at 5:56 p.m.
