RES 20-798 - Authorizing Grant Agreement CPSRT - Signaling on S 320 St & 21 Ave S RESOLUTION NO. 20-798 A RESOLUTION of the City of Federal Way, Washington, authorizing execution of a Grant Agreement with the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority regarding Signalization Improvements to the Intersection of 21st Ave S and S 320th St in the City of Federal Way,Washington. WHEREAS, the City of Federal Way applied for grant funds from the Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority for the purpose of the construction of the Signalization Improvements to the Intersection of 21st Ave S and S 320th St Project within the City; and WHEREAS, Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority agreed to grant the City of Federal Way funds in the total amount of Seven Hundred Thirty Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($730,000.00) for the construction of the Signalization Improvements to the Intersection of 21st Ave S and S 320th St Project provided that the City Council authorizes the Mayor to enter into the required Agreement. NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FEDERAL WAY, RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Receipt of. Grant bunds. The Mayor or his designee is hereby authorized to accept the grant funds in the amount of Seven Hundred Thirty Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($730,000.00) for the construction of the Signalization Improvements to the Intersection of 21st Ave S and S 320th St Project. section 2. Execution of the Grant Agreements. The Mayor or his designee is hereby authorized to execute the Grant Agreement regarding the Signalization Improvements to the Intersection of 21st Ave S and S 320th St Project in the City of Federal Way, Washington and any other required documents. Pursuant to the terms of the Grant Agreement, the City commits matching funds of up to Three Hundred Thousand and no/100 Dollars ($300,000.00) for the construction of the Signalization Improvements to the Intersection of 21st Ave S and S 320th St Project. Section 4. Sevcr bility. If any section, sentence, clause or phrase of this resolution should be held to be invalid or unconstitutional by a court of competent jurisdiction, such invalidity or unconstitutionality shall not affect the validity or constitutionality of any other section, sentence, clause, or phrase of this resolution. Section 5. Correctioiis. The City Clerk is authorized to make necessary corrections to this resolution including, but not limited to, the correction of scrivener/clerical errors, references, resolution numbering, section/subsection numbers and any references thereto. Sectioii 6. Ratificatiop. Any act consistent with the authority and prior to the effective date of this resolution is hereby ratified and affirmed. Section 7. Effective Date.
