Ordinance amends FWRC 8.30:
•Creates new section to allow Public Works Director to
determine locations of 20 mph school speed limit zones
•Amends several sections to replace outdated terminology:
1.Replacing references to the State Highway Commission
with the State Secretary of Transportation;
2.Replacing references to “F.A.I. No. 5” with “Interstate 5”;
3.Replacing “curvation” with “curvature”.
Options Considered
1.Approve the draft ordinance.
2.Do not approve the draft ordinance and
provide direction to staff.
