This letter provides our responses to comments received from the City of Federal Way dated
November 19, 2020 for the Horner Short Plat.
Comments 1 through 3 are addressed by the Surveyor and are reflected on the short plat drawing.
4. Tree retention.
The tree retention calculations are included on the second sheet (C-2) of the conceptual civil plans.
5. School Access Analysis.
The access routes to local schools is included as a separate document.
6. Open Space.
A fee in lieu request will be made to meet open space requirements.
7. Road Comments.
Sheet C-1 of the Civil plans includes the City of Federal Way standard section for a local road which
includes the noted requirements for curb gutter and sidewalk. The civil plans also graphically show
those requirements being met.
8. Turnaround.
It is our understanding that the turnaround requirement has been waived by the City, in particular the
Fire Marshall in exchange for all residences to be sprinklered.
