Dear William & Jenny Horner:
The Community Development Department is in receipt of the August 21, 2020, application
submittal, and the September 22, 2020, resubmittal of the concurrency permit, for a short subdivision
at the above referenced location. Pursuant to Federal Way Revised Code (FWRC) 18.30.050(a), within 28
days of receiving a short subdivision application, the department shall notify the applicant whether
the application is complete, or whether additional information is necessary.
NOTICE OF COMPLETE APPLICATION
Please consider this correspondence a formal Letter of Complete Application. Pursuant to FWRC
18.30.050, the application is deemed complete as of September 30, 2020. The complete application
determination is based on a review of submittal documents and relative to those requirements as set
forth in FWRC 18.30.030. The submittal requirements are not intended to determine if an application
conforms to the City of Federal Way codes; they are used only to determine if all required materials
have been submitted.
NOTICE OF APPLICATION
A Notice of Application (NOA) will be posted on site and published in the Federal Way Mirror within
14 days of this letter, pursuant to FWRC 18.30.080(2). The city will prepare two Public Notice
Boards that the applicant will be responsible for posting on site by Friday, October 16, 2020.
Further posting instructions and the notice boards will be available at City Hall on Monday, October
12, 2020. Please call the front desk at (253) 835-7000 to arrange pick up.

CLOSING
Formal processing and review of your application will now begin. The Development Review
Committee staff is preparing initial technical review comments that will be forwarded to you in a
separate correspondence at a later date. Technical review comments may result in a request for
additional information and revisions in order to comply with applicable code requirements.
