This is the acceptance of construction as complete, therefore no additional funds are proposed to be spent as part of this agenda item.

Background Information
This project constructed new ADA compliant ramps and landings at the intersection of S 320th Street and Pacific Highway S providing improved access to those with disabilities.
Prior to release of retainage on a Public Works construction project, the City Council must accept the work as complete to meet State Department of Revenue and State Department of Labor
and Industries requirements. The Complete Streets ADA Upgrades was constructed under the 2020Asphalt Overlay Project by Miles Resources, LLC. is complete. The final construction contract
amount is $156,780.96. This is $52,388.44 below the $209,169.40 (including contingency) budget that was approved by the City Council on March 17, 2020 as part of the 2020 Asphalt Overlay
Project.
Project is funded by a grant from T.I.B. in the amount of $100,000 and the remainder from Street Fund/Traffic Impact Fees

Authorize final acceptance of the Complete Streets ADA Upgrades as constructed by Miles Resources, LLC in the amount of $156,780.96.
Do not authorize acceptance of the Complete Streets ADA Upgrades as constructed by Miles Resources, LLC in the amount of $156,780.96 and provide direction to staff.

Mayor’s Recommendation
The Mayor recommends forwarding Option 1 to the February 15, 2021 City Council Consent Agenda for approval.
