Dear Marc Lawrence: The City of Federal Way received the above referenced permit application on June 12, 2007. Research on this application has shown that a previous application from Harsch InvestmPnts, Celebration Center, has used the Black Bear Diner as part of the calculation to achieve enou�h site acreage to qualify for(2)pole signs. No other free standing signs are allowed on the subject property. Permit application number 07-103205-00 has been denied due to FWCC 22-1601(a)(1)(e)(1), which states: Pylon or pole signs: One sign unless the subject property has an additional.500 feet of street frontage for a total of 750 feet of aggregate frontage on any public rights-of-way, in which case the subject property will be allowed one additional high profzle sign, not to exceed a maximum of two such signs per subject properry; and FWCC 22-1601(a)(1)(e)(1), which states: Pedestal or monument signs: If the pedestal or monument sign is in lieu of a pylon or pole sign, the number of signs allowed shall be determined pursuant to subsection(a)(1)(e)(1)of this section. In addition, two monument signs which identify the name of any multiuse complex are allowed,per entrance from a public right-of-way, not to exceed five feet in height. If you wish to"reface"one of the panels on the Celebration Center sign, you may do that with a application far a reface. Pve enclosed a revision form for your use to revise the current permit to help alleviate any fees from applying for a separate permit.
