CONDITIONS:
1)Window signs are all signs located inside and affixed to a window and intended to be viewed from the exterior of a
structure. Window signs are used to advertise products,goods or services for sale on-site,business identification,hours
of operation,address,and emergency information. The area of window signs shall not exceed 25% of the window area.
2)This perinit is issued based on the information provided by the applicant.Since property lines cannot be verified
without a survey,the property owner,his/her heirs or assigns shall assume all liability for any relocation or any other
associated costs should the sign be located in public right of way or within the required yard setback.
3)The required setback from property lines for all signs shall be not less than 5'in residential zones and not less than 3'
in all other zones.
4)The sign base shall be made of solid materials that are harmonious with the character of the primary structures on
the subject property and there shall be no visible gap between the sign base and the fnished grade for all monument
and pedestal signs,per FWCC Sec.22-1602(3)(I).
5)Signs should be constructed and installed so that angle irons,guywires,braces and other structural elements are not
visible. This does NOT apply to structural elements that are an integral part of the overall design.(FWCC,22-1602(A))
6)A separate electrical permit is required for any sign requiring electrical work. The electrical work must be approved
by one of the city electrical inspectors.Please contact Neil Doyle at 253-661-4181 or Mac McConnell at 253-661-4182 to
schedule an on-site inspection,prior to the installation of any such sign(s). Contact Kari,Tom,Heather or Fernando at
253-661-4117/4115 for questions regarding electrical permit applications.
7)FINAL SIGN INSPECTION IS REQUIRED IN ORDER TO RECEIVE SIGN REGISTRATION NUMBER.
PLEASE CALL 253-661-4140 TO SCHEDULE THE INSPECTION.
