• We have not had a Strategic Plan to point the collective direction for all 38
school sites for two decades.
• We must have shared and common responses to the following questions:
- What is our vision for each of our students?
- What is our mission?
- What are our goals?
- What strategies will we engage in across our schools to accomplish our goals?
- How will we measure our progress towards our goals?

Research says that districts that have a common vision and
strategic plan to articulate that vision have a .25 effect size on
student achievement. Simply put, we improve student learning.
Once we have outlined our goals, strategies and metrics,
community based partners will gain clarity in how to support
individual schools across the district.

The strategic plan allows for a disciplined framework to bring
people, programs, processes and resources together in an aligned
fashion, working towards a common aim.
