NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
2021 City of Federal Way Proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment and Rezone
Former Bally’s Fitness Center Property
(Non-Project Action)

The City of Federal Way’s Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on Wednesday,
September 15, 2021, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers (City Hall, 33325 8th Avenue South, Federal
Way, WA 98063-9718) and remotely via a Zoom link (audio only). The commission will hear testimony
and provide a recommendation to the City Council’s Land Use/Transportation Committee (LUTC) and
City Council on a proposed comprehensive plan amendment and rezone of the former Bally’s Fitness
center property, located at 32818 1st Avenue South, parcel #172104-9038. The site is approximately six
acres in size. The amendment if approved will:
• Reclassify the Federal Way Comprehensive Plan (FWCP) designation and Federal Way
Revised Code (FWRC) designation from Office Park (OP) to Multi-Family Residential
(RM1800) of parcel #172104-9038, located at 32818 1st Avenue South.
