The building permit, approved by King County, did not include provisions for outdoor sales or storage, yet retail items have been stored in the east parking lot since 1991 . An approved outdoor sales area is required in order to bring the Fred Meyer site into compiiance with Federal Way outdoor screening requirements. Following a notice of violation on February 24, 1992, a request to build � 6400 square foot screened outdoor sales area was reviewed and approved under the following permits: SEP93-OOZO, SPR92-0008, and BLD94-0395. The building permit, approved June 6, 1994, has never been picked up and the required outdoor storage screening has not been constructed. Outdoor sales and storage are still conducted in violation of Federai Way code requirements. In order to bring resolution to the on-going violation, a formal request to modify the screening requirements in accordance with FWCC section 22-1 1 1 1 �g) must be submitted with applicable fees, or the approved building permit must be picked up and construction of the approved outdoor storage facility must be begin before April 12, 1 �95. If no action has occurred by April 12, 1995, the matter will be turned over to a City Code Compliance Officer and the City Prosecutor for enforcement action.
