Request to install some small wireless facilities on existing street light poles. This Master Lease will be modified with addendum (approved administratively) for each specific deployment. Work guaranteed through performance and maintenance bonds. Insurance consistent with city standards. 3 3 Background Information Wireless demand has seen exponential increase in past few years. To be competitive, cities must keep up with technology. Demand will be met through implementation of 5G networks. 5G relies on densification of system through small wireless. 4 Verizon is first. AT&T / Cingular Wireless also in progress. 4 Background: Small Wireless (street light replacement) 5 City has developed interim standards for design and deployment. 5 Background Information Financial Impacts $2,000.00 deposit for Master Lease development. Maximum fee $270.00 per year / location. Ten (10) year term plus (5) year automatic extension. Master Lease addendum specific to each deployment. Right-of-way permits for installation. 6 6 Options Considered Approve the proposed Master Lease Agreement.
