On July 20, 2021 the draft Housing Action Plan was presented to the full council. Staff was directed to conduct an in-person open house regarding the Housing Action Plan, evaluate and
incorporate any public input as appropriate, and return to council committee for further discussion prior to consideration for adoption.

“I could move my dad in with us without having to share the TV and let him have his privacy and independence.”
“I’m worried that ADUs and duplexes will bring in more cars and tenants who don’t care about the neighborhood.”
ADU - Accessible, affordable, easier and cheaper. Desired housing solution for aging generations looking to downsize
Missing Middle – Homeownership opportunities for multi-family (condos) and missing middle typologies.

The results of the Community Open House further solidify the understanding that not every individual and household will benefit the same from each strategy, however there is a strategy
or strategies within the HAP that will benefit everyone.
