Should the City Council authorize staff to proceed with design of the Military Road S Preservation Project and return to LUTC and Council for final design, bid authorization, and further

Financial Impacts
The cost to the City for the Military Road S Preservation Project was included within the approved budget under the Capital Improvement Plan for Transportation Systems, Project #36236.
In accordance with the approved budget, this item is funded by Puget Sound Regional Council (PSRC) grant in the amount of $600,000 and $650,000 from the Arterial Street Funding (102).
Upon completion of the project, ongoing costs associated with operations and maintenance will be performed and funded through streets maintenance. Funding requirements for operations
and maintenance of infrastructure is reviewed and adjusted as required during the budget process.

Background:
The Military Road S Preservation Project provides improvements of Military Road S (South City Limits to S 320th St) of HMA overlay including upgrade of facilities to meet ADA standards,
pavement repair, and pavement markings.
