PUBLIC WORKS – TRAFFIC DIVISION Jason Kennedy, jason.kennedy@cityoffederalway.com, 253-835-2744 1. Update the plan to show conceptual street lights for the proposed street “A.” An illumination plan shall be designed by a professional engineer and shall be submitted as part of the engineering plan. 2. The civil plans should depict the ¾ street cross-section (Type “W” local street) to be a 24-foot paved road, 4-foot planter strip, 5-foot sidewalk (south side only), and 3-foot utility strip for a total of a 36-foot built cross-section. The utility strip is shown as one-foot in the cross-section. Revise the cross-section to show a three-foot utility strip. 3. All street signs installed shall be on steel poles per the city’s new standard (not published yet in Development Standards). Street name sign legend shall follow King County’s current standard, which has not yet been formally updated in city’s Development Standards.
